There is something special about coming home to a dog. Before you even step through the door, you know what's waiting on the other side—the wagging tail, the boundless excitement, and the chaotic joy of your furry friend who is so happy you are FINALLY home…even if you were only gone for five minutes.
Dogs are the embodiment of unconditional love. They don't know how to love any other way, and they certainly don't know how to hide it. From the look of love shining in their eyes, to their complete disregard for personal space, to wagging their tails so hard their whole butts wag, dogs have a way of reminding us of what pure happiness looks like.
My home has never felt complete without at least one dog in it. Sure, they leave muddy paw prints, steal our spot on the couch, and somehow manage to cover everything in fur—but the love, laughter, comfort, and joy they bring into our lives is worth every bit of it.
Maybe your Faithful Friend isn’t a dog. Whether they greet us with wagging tails, gentle nudges, happy chirps, or simply quiet companionship, the animals we share our lives with love us exactly as we are.
Faithful Friends is a celebration of that unconditional love—and the joy of sharing life's journey with the companions who become part of our family.
Meet Charlie, the lovable mascot of the Faithful Friends Collection.
Like many of the pieces in the Addie & Anna collections, this artwork was inspired by a real moment. It was created from a photograph of Charlie as a puppy during one of his first adventures with our family.
Charlie has never met an adventure—or a stranger—he didn't love. Walks. Boat rides. Trips to the beach. Afternoons at the park. If his people are going, he's all in.
Charlie is one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs who leaves a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
He reminds us that the best adventures aren't always about where we go—they're about who is by our side along the way.
He is, and always will be, the perfect Faithful Friend.

You know those days? The ones that are so perfect you never want them to end?
This was one of those days.
In Charlie's world, it was EPIC.
It was a beautiful January day on Florida's Gulf Coast. We loaded up the kids—and of course Charlie—and headed to one of our favorite sandbars.
The weather was perfect.
The water was perfect.
The tide was perfect.
It was one of those rare days when everything just came together.
Charlie could hardly wait for us to get the boat anchored before he jumped into the water. With the tide out, the entire sandbar became his playground.
He chased the kids.
He chased tennis balls.
He chased birds.
He made new friends...
He even climbed onto other people's boats just to say hello.
Somehow, we convinced him to sit still long enough to capture the photograph that inspired this artwork.
The smile on his face says everything.
Some days are simply too good to leave.

Beach days are rarely calm when Charlie comes along.
But this day was different.
It was a beautiful spring day on Florida's Gulf Coast. The water was still a little too cool for swimming, but the weather was perfect for spending the day on the beach.
It was my birthday, so my husband, the kids—and of course Charlie—loaded up the boat and took me to one of our favorite little beaches.
Charlie swam ashore, played a little fetch, and took a long walk down the beach with the kids. But for most of the day, he simply stayed close to us. We all settled into the sand, soaking up the sunshine and salt air, listening to the gentle waves, and enjoying the kind of day you wish you could last forever.
At one point, I looked over and saw Charlie quietly watching our boat rock back and forth in the water.
He looked so peaceful.
I couldn't resist taking the photograph that inspired this artwork.
Sometimes the best place in the world isn't a destination.
It's simply wherever the people—and the faithful friend—you love happen to be.
